Information on ringing of the Aquatic Warbler is currently being summarized by AWCT. 

Colour ringing

Currently, there are four colour-ringing projects with Aquatic Warbler in three countries, with the following colours used as country codes:

Colour rings on the right leg = national identification. 

Combination of colour rings on the left leg = individual/group combinations.

Combination of 1 c-ring and metal ring (on right tarsus) as national identification AND a combination of 2 c-rings (on left tarsus) as individual code OR 1 c-ring (on left tarsus) as individual code).

note 2: adult birds are ringed in the Biebrza marshes, NE Poland during 1995 and 1997, while during 1998 birds were ringed in the Chebm marshes, SE Poland .

note 1: during 1999 was used : 1 or 2 rings on left tarsus, 1 or 2 rings and metal ring on right tarsus ; used colours are : red, white, dark-blue, yellow, black, orange, dark-green, light-blue light-green ; exceptionally one put on metal ring on left tarsus.

note 2: during 1999-2002 was used : 3 rings on right tarsus and metal ring on left tarsus ; used colours are : dark-blue, black, red, dark-green, white, yellow, light-blue, light-green, orange ; exceptionally one put on metal ring on right tarsus.
